Accertify to Speak at MRC’s 7th Annual e-Commerce Payments and Risk Conference

Industry leader to co-sponsor conference Platinum Day events
Accertify, a provider of leading-edge credit card fraud prevention solutions to online merchants, will speak at the Merchant Risk Council's 7th Annual e-Commerce Payments and Risk Conference, to be held March 10-12 in Las Vegas. Michael Long, Accertify's Chief Product Strategist and an expert in card-not-present fraud prevention, will moderate an interactive panel discussion by law enforcement officials entitled, "Working with Law Enforcement."
Other participants on the panel will include members of the Cyber Initiative & Resource Fusion Unit, FBI and USPIS. The session will take place on Wednesday, March 11, at 2:15 p.m. Mountain Standard Time. It will explore how online merchants can support law enforcement efforts to crack down on credit card fraud on the Internet.
The Merchant Risk Council (MRC) is a merchant-led trade association focused on electronic commerce risk and payments globally. The organization leads industry networking, education and advocacy programs to make electronic commerce more efficient, safe and profitable.
Accertify also is a co-sponsor of the 2009 MRC Platinum Meeting and Platinum Party preceding the conference on March 9 at the Wynn Las Vegas Resort.
Mr. Long is been a frequent speaker on card-not-present fraud at a variety of events in the e-commerce, travel and event ticketing industries. With nearly 20 years experience in accounting, fraud investigation and fraud prevention, he understands the issues facing merchants and law enforcement in combating CNP fraud. Along with Accertify partners Jeff Liesendahl, Andrew Lauter, Gary Doernhoefer and Bruce Bellak, Mr. Long was instrumental in developing an integrated technology solution that significantly reduced fraud losses and related operating costs at the major travel website, Orbitz. He was an original member of the MRC and served on its Board of Directors.
As Chief Product Strategist, Mr. Long is responsible for all of Accertify's product, sales, and marketing strategy and execution, including customer support and consulting services.
