Mark has over 20 years of experience in payments, card not present fraud prevention and dispute management. As one of the founding members of Accertify, Mark has created the Global Managed Services departments, led the professional services and customer support teams, oversaw the acquisition by American Express and now serves as the President of Accertify. Mark excels at managing and creating fraud departments while delivering fraud prevention strategies for the leading airlines and eCommerce companies. Mark is an expert in fraud strategy, relationship building and fraud prevention management.
Prior to joining Accertify, Mark was senior Director of Fraud Prevention for Orbitz Worldwide, where he oversaw the global fraud strategy for the online travel site and its sister websites in the EMEA and JAPA regions.
Chief Technology Officer
Randy has 20 years of experience in the development, design and support of large, high- frequency, low -latencies transactional environments. Randy has extensive experience in both security and compliance operations in the financial sector. As Chief Technology Officer, Randy is responsible for Development, Hosting Operations, Security operations and ITIL services at Accertify.
Randy most recently spent 10 years as an SVP of trading technical operations with Bank of America where he led the build-out and support of the proprietary trading operations of the Bank. Randy ran a global operations team that supported trading operations in 6 countries. Randy was also responsible for the SOX and GLBA compliance for the teams he supported. Mr.Ruiz has worked at a number of multinational banks, hedge funds and start-ups in his career developing extensive experience in both large- and small-scale high performance operations within the financial sector.
VP, Marketing and Client Solutions
Jeff is responsible for leading the company’s global branding, positioning, communication, pre-sales and lead generation. Prior to his current role, Jeff led Product Management and helped build and diversify Accertify’s Interceptas platform to address risk across the entire customer journey. Jeff has over 12 years experience in card-not-present fraud and has spoken at many industry forums and conferences around the world. Jeff also served on the global board of directors for the Merchant Risk Council for 6 years.
Before joining Accertify, Jeff led many startup organizations in the enterprise software space through periods of hyper-growth and change, and is skilled at building relationships with technical individuals as well as with C-level executives. Jeff earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Florida.
VP, Strategic Risk Services
Loretta has over 20 years of experience in fraud and risk management. When she joined Accertify in 2009, she began her career as a fraud analyst, working closely with merchants to execute on strong fraud mitigation strategies. Now as Vice President of Accertify’s Strategic Risk Services team, she leads the 24x7x365 teams of fraud and chargeback professionals in Chicago, Mexico City, Madrid, and Gurgaon, India. She is responsible for strategic planning, growth, and innovation to ensure that Accertify provides clients with the best services and results, while also optimizing the overall colleague experience. Loretta focuses on identifying talent and bringing together key partners to deliver this excellent service for all Strategic Risk Services clients. Loretta holds her undergraduate degree from North Central College in Criminal Justice and Sociology.
VP, Product Development
Andy has held his current role since early 2019. His team is responsible for designing and enhancing the many software and service offerings at Accertify: fraud prevention, dispute management, payment processing, identity and device intelligence. By focusing on both market trends and customer feedback, the Product Development team aims to assist customers with current and future solutions.
Since joining a small Chicago-area start-up called “Accertify” in 2007, Andy has held various roles in the organization, working alongside the company founders to build the original Interceptas system, and to help grow the business into a market leading solution provider. Along the way, he has acted as a development lead and system architect. Prior to taking on his current role, Andy was the Director of Accertify’s software development organization.
Before joining Accertify, Andy worked for more than a decade in various software development and architecture roles, in industries as diverse as telecom and insurance. He has focused on building scalable, user-friendly solutions for large enterprises as well as start-ups.
Kristin Hoyne Gomes
VP, Decision Sciences
As Vice President of Decision Sciences, Kristin leads a team responsible for continuing to innovate device and decisioning capabilities and consulting with clients to improve risk decisioning. Kristin has 20 years
’ experience working in risk management and payments. Prior to Accertify, Kristin led American Express’ Fraud Risk Consulting team responsible for working with merchants to help reduce and prevent fraud. Kristin also previously held roles focused on international fraud risk strategies, risk management authorization infrastructure responsibilities at American Express and credit and fraud risk management at Wells Fargo Bank. Kristin has a Bachelor’s degree in Business and a Master’s degree in Statistics.
VP, Sales and Global Partnerships
Bryan leads our Americas sales organization and our global partnerships team. He is responsible for building a robust pipeline, developing go-to-market strategies for new products, signing new customers and expanding our current partnerships program. Bryan has an extensive knowledge of the industry, with over 25 years of fraud experience. Most recently, Bryan was the Director of Fraud at Urban Outfitters. Prior to Urban Outfitters, he lead the Fraud Risk team at Federated Department Stores.
VP, Client Success
Paul leads the Client Success division which is made up of two technical support groups and the Account Management team. The team is a dynamic group that provides customers worldwide with a full spectrum of product support and tailored customer solutions and was formed at the beginning of 2018 to better and more closely serve the Accertify client base.
Paul has worked to build a successful customer management strategy that combines the traditional account management approach of nurturing long-term relationships and retaining accounts along with creating an environment of value for customers in the long run. The Client Success team works proactively across the post-sale customer life cycle and this very hands-on approach is the life blood of Accertify. It has yielded Net Promoter Scores at the highest rates the industry has seen. In the highly volatile industry of fraud management, the definition of ‘Success’ changes over time and this is precisely why Accertify keeps in close contact with its customers, so shifting requirements and needs can easily be seen and addressed.
Before joining Accertify in 2009, Paul worked for 15 years in the financial services industry managing positions of increasing responsibility and scope that spanned large scale project management, customer service, fraud prevention, online banking operations for Credit Operations, IT and Consumer Lending & Banking
VP and General Manager, EMEA
Catherine leads the teams based in EMEA and is responsible for strategic planning, sales, implementation and client relationship management in the region.
Catherine joined Accertify from the American Express Global Network Services organization where she most recently led Business Development for bank partnerships in Sub-Saharan Africa. In this role, she managed American Express’s existing relationships with multiple partners, including Nedbank in South Africa and also led the expansion of American Express across the continent launching Amex acceptance in 11 new markets including in Nigeria.
Sales Director and General Manager, APAC
Luke is responsible for driving the Accertify businesses forward in APAC. Luke has spent the past 20 years leading sales and client teams in the telecommunications, data centre and IT managed services sectors and more recently joined us from Telstra Wholesale where he was the General Manager of the Infrastructure Customer division. As Sales Director and GM of Accertify based in Sydney, Australia, Luke is responsible for our sales, client management, and operational functions in the APAC region.
